Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Help Desk Technician to provide first-line technical support to end users. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution of tickets, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.Essential Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets via phone, email, and in-person support
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and basic network connectivity issues
- Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions
- Document all support activities and maintain accurate ticket records
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary
- Provide clear communication and excellent customer service to all end users
- Support software installations, updates, and basic system maintenance
- Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and supplies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in IT help desk, technical support, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems; familiarity with macOS a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical issues in simple, non-technical terms
- Customer-service oriented with a professional and patient demeanor
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification preferred but not required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Work Environment
- On-site role based in Downey, CA
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs (equipment)
- Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required
Compensation
