West Side House is seeking an energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to uphold our high standards for senior care!
Job Summary:
- Responsible for directing, modifying and administering occupation therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the Occupational Therapist, after the Occupational Therapist has evaluated the resident.
- Assists with restoration of resident functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
- Assists residents to reach their maximum performance and level of function, while learning to live within the limit of their capabilities.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate degree from a school or college approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Holds current certificate as Occupational Therapy Assistant in Massachusetts. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions.
- TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year clinical experience serving the same age/population mix as served by the facility. Demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization, with knowledge of application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
