Job Summary
Join our dynamic team at our new exciting restaurant Hot Box as a Server/Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes orders, serves food and beverages, processes transactions accurately, and ensures every guest leaves satisfied. Your culinary knowledge, exceptional customer service skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks with efficiency will be key to your success. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service in a lively dining setting
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktail and beverage service, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Process all sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, and specialty drinks to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, bar stations, and dining spaces
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support bussing tables and resetting tables quickly during busy hours to optimize seating capacity
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures diligently
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing sales and transactions
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings like nightclubs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Culinary experience or food industry background that supports understanding of menu items and food safety standards
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue generation
- Knowledge of OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
- Experience with food preparation, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or bartending enhances versatility in the role
