FIELD SAMPLER POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for conducting sampling in the field, completing all relevant documentation and ensuring all samples are safely and securely transported to the Laboratory for processing.
FIELD SAMPLER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Addresses customer needs and provides appropriate recommendations based on internal briefings and relevant industry knowledge
- Serves as customer care liaison to ensure the highest levels of service, provide complaint resolution, and develop methods for increasing customer satisfaction
- Arranges for in-person site visits to grower facilities, dispensaries, and other existing clientele; create outreach initiatives to promote company offering and increase clientele
- Performs precise and reliable on-site sampling in accordance with established procedures, protocols, and state requirements
- Secures the transportation of customer samples in designated vehicles from various sampling sites to delivery at the laboratory
- Adheres to recorded transport routes and schedules to ensure the safe and timely transport of client samples
- Implements proper chain of custody documentation and adhering to state and corporate protocol for the transport of samples
- Provides for the timely logging of client samples received into the company database, as well as METRC and/or MJ Freeway
- Cooperates with laboratory team members to facilitate the accurate dissemination of information across the organization
- May be responsible for other job-related duties as assigned
FIELD SAMPLER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
General Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to fluently speak and read the English language along with understanding and following both written and verbal direction
- Ability to function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility and the ability to work effectively with fellow employees
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement
- Ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios; demonstrated abilities in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Basic knowledge of modern office practices and use of Microsoft Office Suite for Word and Excel
- Experience in driving tasks and meeting deadlines; accountable for the completion of assigned goals and objectives
- Ability to build relationships and strengthen partnerships with a focus on customer service
- Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.
Experience, Education, Licenses/Certifications
- Associates degree in chemistry, biology, environmental sciences or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to maintain a clean driving record
- Previous experience working with and around cannabis products is preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
