We Are Hiring:
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Facility: Ascension St John Broken Arrow
Department/Specialty: Emergency Department
Schedule: Full time night shift
What You Will Do:
- Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care and evaluation of patients.

Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction and in collaboration with a physician and/or Registered Nurse.

Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols.

Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate.
-
Provide population specific education to the patient and family about the patient's illness and therapeutic interventions.

Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public.
What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
-
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following required:
-
Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Paramedic credentialed from the Oklahoma EMS Personnel Licensure obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Advanced Life Support preferred.

Drivers License credentialed from the Oklahoma Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
Education:
-
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences:
- Full time 36 hours weekly 3/12 night shift

Prefer 2 years experience on truck or in ED with BLS, ACLS, and Pals

Prefer the Paramedic that can start lines etc.

Prefer the paramedic but will consider student that is working toward being a paramedic.

This position is in the hospital NOT on a truck
