Advanced Audiology of NY is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join a growing business dedicated to patient care and better hearing! Our front staff is the face of our company and is just as integral to our success as our audiologists. The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Coordinator is to produce and manage a schedule to ensure an appropriate amount of Hearing Evaluations and Hearing Aid Consultations to achieve monthly goals and quota.
Responsibilities:
● Greet patients and ensure a pleasant experience throughout their visit with timely & courteous interactions
● Answer phones with excellent patient service skills
● Schedule patient appointments to maximize profit to both existing and potential patients
● Execute appointment reminders with calls 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment
● Complete new patient registration, data entry, and file preparation, and maintaining company reporting tools
● Manage inventory of office supplies
● Complete insurance verification and submit superbills to billing team, follow up as needed
● Collect patient payments (deductible/copays) and any outstanding balances
● Follow HIPAA guidelines and practice policies to maintain patient privacy
Qualifications:
● Minimum of two (2) years of working in a front office, sales/retail, or customer service environment
● High School Diploma Required
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus
● Insurance Verification knowledge or background a plus
Skills:
● Strong interpersonal skills and ease with both telephone and in-person contacts
● Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate with written communication
● Excellent organization and time-management skills
● Ability to efficiently multitask
● Possess strong organizational skills
● Possess basic math skills
● Ability to work independently and as a team player
● Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Google Workspace.
Ideal candidates will have exceptional professionalism and be able to accurately and effectively complete responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. This role requires the ideal candidate to be able to clearly articulate with our patients in all communication facets (face to face, verbally, and written). As the first face patients see and hear for our office, the ideal candidate will have proactive customer service skills and the ability to exhibit friendly and courteous behavior in all patient interactions.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
