Job Description Summary:
The voice instructor will teach a small studio of Applied voice students through weekly individual one-hour lessons. This position will teach applied voice lessons to music majors and non-majors, including instruction of the Voice and Dictation Course
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in vocal performance or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in subject
Teaching experience in college level voice instruction
Other Information:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach a total of 14 hours of individualized instruction per student each semester
Work with student to schedule agreed upon meeting times
Be accessible to students
Report progress of students to Director of Choral Activities
Provide timely feedback to students' questions and concerns
Become familiar with rules, regulations, administrative practices, guidelines and policies of the Department and College
Prepare students for end of semester juries and/or recitals
