Job Title: Youth Sports Instructor (Ages 3-5)
Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, patient, and enthusiastic Sports Instructor to lead fun, age-appropriate sports and movement activities for young children. The instructor will introduce basic sports skills while fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love for physical activity in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured, play-based sports and movement classes for children ages 3 – 5.

Teach fundamental motor skills (running, jumping, throwing, kicking, balance, coordination)

Introduce basic rules and concepts of sports such as soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and general fitness games

Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere for all participants

Ensure the safety of children at all times and follow established safety protocols

Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding class activities and child progress

Set up and clean up equipment before and after classes

Maintain attendance records and report any incidents or concerns to supervisors
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children (teaching, coaching, childcare, or recreation)

Passion for youth sports, fitness, and child development; specific to soccer, lacrosse or basketball.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage small groups of children with patience and positivity

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Background check clearance (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or coursework in education, kinesiology, child development, or related field

Coaching or teaching certification thru college experience or previous employment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate basic sports movements

Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and move actively for class duration

Ability to lift and carry light equipment
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time / flexible hours (weekend availability).

Competitive pay per class based on experience.
