Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various construction projects, assisting with site preparation, material handling, and the execution of concrete, carpentry, masonry, and other trade tasks. Duties
- Assist with site setup, including loading and unloading materials using hand tools and power equipment.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials such as rebar, concrete forms, and heavy equipment components.
- Support concrete work through mixing, pouring, finishing, cutting, and sealing concrete surfaces according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Install rebar, formwork, metal stud framing, drywall, stucco, and other structural elements following safety protocols.
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers, pumps, saws, drills, and forklifts in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal while adhering to construction safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, or restoration is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity in construction estimating is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and the proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely for tasks like concrete finishing or rebar installation.
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
