Armstrong Power Systems is a family-owned manufacturer of custom generator sets, enclosures, fuel tanks, and trailers, is looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our production team in Doral, FL.
About the Role
You'll work on large-scale welding projects including fuel tanks, trailers, and structural frames. Work is performed in a shaded and ventilated warehouse. This is hands-on production welding where quality, precision, and problem-solving matter as much as technique.
What You'll Do
- Perform MIG welding on steel and sheet metal components per blueprints and weld symbols
- Read and interpret shop drawings and weld specifications
- Work closely with designer/engineer to build projects to spec
- Fit and weld tank assemblies, trailer frames, and enclosure panels
- Grind and finish welds to spec
- Repair welds as needed
- Test fuel tanks for leaks/integrity
- Inspect completed welds for quality and structural integrity
- Troubleshoot fit-up issues and adapt on the fly to keep production moving
- Maintain a safe, organized work area
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of MIG welding experience
- Solid ability to read blueprints
- Experience with steel and sheet metal fabrication
- Quick thinker who can solve problems on the shop floor without hand-holding
- Reliable, full-time availability, Monday–Friday
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required
Schedule: Full-time, standard Monday–Friday
