Job Title: Yard Assistant
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Yard Assistant for our graveyard shift to manage the check-in, inventory, and movement of impounded vehicles and property, ensuring their security on our auction lot. The ideal candidate will have experience operating light machinery, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining accurate records and assisting with various facility tasks is essential. We're looking for Part-Time 2nd and 3rd shift yard attendant.
Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the check in, inventory and movement of all impounded property and vehicles, and the security of vehicles on the auction lot and the operation of heavy equipment.

Check in vehicles dropped off by towing companies along with inventory and documentation Transfer vehicles/property to the auction lot for auctions.

Assist in the preparation of equipment to be used at the Storage facility Assist in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, etc.

Assist facility clerks inventorying and escorting as needed. Transfer vehicles and property from Drop area to park locations.

Maintain log sheets with the location of each vehicle moved or parked during the shift. Turn in all paperwork for data entry by Facility Clerks.

Assist police department employees with any assistance they need while on lot.
Required Skills:

Ability to operate light machinery and equipment such as a forklift.

Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to learn basic computer skills.

Understand and follow oral and written instructions, directives or other communication.

Basic understanding of departmental computer operations.

Must be a team player.

Must pass drug test.

Must pass background check.
