DME & Retail Operations Manager – Independent Pharmacy Tamarac, Florida
Reports To: Owner
(Works alongside the Pharmacist-in-Charge) Must be bilingual
Position Summary
Arthur’s Pharmacy & Medical Supply is seeking an experienced and driven Retail & DME Operations Manager to lead the business, retail, and durable medical equipment (DME) operations of our community pharmacy.
This is a growth-focused leadership role responsible for increasing revenue, improving reimbursement performance, managing inventory and vendor relationships, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The position oversees front-end retail sales, DME services, supply ordering, and operational profitability while working in coordination with the Pharmacist-in-Charge, who manages clinical and regulatory pharmacy functions.
The ideal candidate is a strong operator and relationship builder who can both manage staff and actively engage customers — someone comfortable running a business floor, helping patients choose equipment, coordinating insurance approvals, and identifying opportunities to grow prescription and medical supply volume.
This role does not require a licensed pharmacist but does require business judgment, healthcare customer service experience, and the ability to drive store performance. This role will still have responsibility for many aspects of running the pharmacy including ordering and reimbursement oversight.
