THEMED ENTERTAINMENT – TECHNICAL DESIGNER

Adirondack Studios (ADKS) is hiring for our growing Technical Design department. We are looking for individuals with experience in design and construction for entertainment environments with a track record of taking ownership and delivering. Our company designs, builds, and installs the scenic and themed environments you experience in venues that range from theme parks to casinos, museums, live shows, retail, and public art. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

Technical designers fulfill project requirements such as shop drawings, models, narratives, sketches, and engineering documentation.

Familiarity with theatrical fabrication methods and materials as a builder, installer, and/or designer, including an ability to read and understand design drawings.

Familiarity with industry design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and/or other parametric modeling software desired.

Training or employment in technical theater or themed entertainment is a plus.

Collaborate with the technical design team, third-party engineers, ADKS production and creative departments, clients, and vendors.

Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills are required.

Depending on qualifications, this design role offers a pay range of $25.00- $35.00 per hour.
This position will be headquartered in Orlando, Florida, 10 minutes north of Orlando International Airport.
