We are seeking a compassionate and outgoing individual to join our enthusiastic care team. We are a single doctor practice that focuses on accurate and sensible care. We are a general practice providing wellness medicine, surgical services, urgent care, and dental cleanings. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is prompt, proactive and attentive that can provide excellent care to patients and communicate with clients. Experience is a plus but not a requirement!
As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the animals under our care. You will work closely with our veterinarian , veterinary technicians, and other staff members to support the daily operations of the clinic and ensure the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Animal Care: Feed, water, and exercise animals in the kennel. Monitor their health and report any signs of illness or distress to veterinary staff.
Kennel Maintenance: Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, including cages and bedding. Ensure that all areas are hygienic and well-organized.
Customer Service: Greet pet owners and assist with check-in and check-out processes. Provide updates to pet owners regarding their animals' status.
Medical Support: Assist with basic medical procedures and treatments as directed by veterinary staff. Administer medications and follow treatment plans as needed.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medical treatments, and any notable behaviors or changes in condition.

Job Requirements:
-this is a strenuous job that requires lifting, cleaning and lots of motion
-may include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
-other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager or practice

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
