Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes, safety standards, and quality specifications
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improving existing recipes based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety management practices at all times
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, slicers, stoves, ovens, and other culinary tools with expert knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours and uphold safety standards in production
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong culinary experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety standards in production, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Demonstrated ability to perform slicing techniques and knife skills accurately and safely
- Experience in menu planning or catering services is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward serving guests efficiently and safely
