The Impact You'll Make
As a Solid Waste Collection Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind our daily operations. You’ll lead a dedicated crew, ensure routes run smoothly, and maintain the highest standards of safety and service. Your leadership will directly impact the cleanliness of our community, the efficiency of our operations, and the satisfaction of the residents we serve.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily waste collection operations, ensuring timely and efficient route completion.
- Assign and adjust crew schedules to meet service demands and respond to unexpected changes.
- Inspect equipment and vehicles, coordinating with maintenance teams to keep them in top condition.
- Monitor safety compliance, conduct regular safety briefings, and address hazards proactively.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build a skilled, motivated workforce.
- Communicate with residents, businesses, and municipal partners to resolve service issues.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, incidents, and operational reports.
What You'll Bring
- Proven leadership experience in waste management, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and waste handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for working with both crews and the public.
- A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or the ability to obtain one within a set timeframe.
- A commitment to safety, teamwork, and community service.
