What You'll Do
- Assist the pediatric dentist during restorative and preventive procedures
- Chairside assisting for composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, zirconia crowns, pulpotomies, extractions, emergency visits, trauma cases, and IV sedation appointments
- Prepare treatment rooms before each patient
- Take digital dental radiographs
- Maintain OSHA and infection control standards
- Chart treatment accurately using Open Dental
- Educate parents on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Comfort children and help create a fun, positive dental experience
- Maintain organized operatories and stocked treatment rooms
- Work collaboratively with an amazing team to provide exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Dental assisting experience required
- Pediatric dental experience preferred
- NY Dental Radiology Certification preferred
- Open Dental experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working with infants, children, and teenagers
