Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate X-ray machines
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and maintain strict safety protocols during all procedures.
- Accurately position patients to obtain optimal images of anatomy and physiology for diagnostic evaluation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to interpret imaging results and assist in urgent care settings.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and imaging data following medical terminology standards.
- Conduct routine quality checks on imaging equipment and troubleshoot technical issues promptly to ensure continuous operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating diagnostic radiology equipment including X-ray
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and radiation safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in urgent care environments and handle high-pressure situations confidently.
- Certification as a radiologic technologist (ARRT or equivalent) required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds. Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
