Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and certified Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. This role involves working on various diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and effectively.
Prefer diesel certified or a minimum of 3 years of experience
Seeking day shift, 7am-3pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including inspections and diagnostics.
- Conduct tire services, including installation, rotation, and balancing.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks associated with engine repairs and parts replacement.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify mechanical issues accurately.
- Solder electrical components as required for repairs.
- Maintain HVAC systems in diesel vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Use hand tools effectively for assembly and disassembly of engine parts.
- Work with hydraulics systems to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components.
- Inspect and maintain air brake systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Skills
- Prefer diesel certified or a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Proficient in tire service techniques and practices.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics procedures.
- Familiarity with soldering techniques for electrical repairs.
- Understanding of HVAC systems relevant to diesel mechanics.
- Skilled in using hand tools for mechanical assembly and disassembly.
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems and their maintenance.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing air brake systems.
