Job Summary
We are seeking a construction laborer to join our construction team, bringing expertise in various facets of building and renovation projects. As a construction laborer, you will play a vital role in executing construction tasks with precision, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project site. Your enthusiasm for construction work and strong technical skills will contribute to delivering outstanding results for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse renovation projects. While we specialize on the restoration of historic houses, many of our interiors blend contemporary design and construction methods.
Candidates with carpentry experience may receive higher pay.
Duties
- Assist in rough carpentry and framing tasks, ensuring structural integrity and safety standards are met
- Assist in demolition of walls, flooring, tile, etc.
- Assist in rebar installation, concrete finishing, masonry, roofing, siding, and plastering techniques
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to facilitate construction activities
- Install siding, stucco, roofing, and other exterior finishes with precision
- Conduct masonry work, plastering, restoration, and remodeling projects as needed
- Collaborate with team members on site to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining safety protocols
- Use hand tools effectively for various construction tasks including framing, finishing, and repairs
- Assist in heavy lifting operations and ensure proper handling of materials
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on metal building erection, concrete forming, or related fields
- Knowledge of construction management principles and safety procedures
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete finishing, masonry, roofing, siding, and plastering techniques
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with framing carpentry and metal stud framing
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools across various construction tasks
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or confined spaces as required
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
- Valid experience in construction management or supervision is a plus but not mandatory
