We are seeking a skilled Industrial Pipe Supervisor to join our team and help oversee our piping systems on various industrial projects.
Job Summary:
The Industrial Pipe Supervisor at Mountain West Industrial will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, ensuring that all work complies with safety standards, project timelines, and quality expectations. This role requires a leader with extensive experience in pipefitting, welding, and project supervision in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and manage a team of pipefitters, welders, and other trades personnel, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality workmanship.
- Project Management: Coordinate daily tasks and schedules to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Quality Control: Inspect work for compliance with engineering designs, specifications, and industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and Mountain West Industrial’s internal safety protocols to maintain a safe worksite.
- Material Management: Manage material requisitions, oversee inventory control, and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot and provide technical guidance on complex piping and welding issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of progress, personnel attendance, material usage, and completed work.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other supervisors, engineers, and contractors to ensure the smooth integration of piping systems into the overall project.
- Training & Mentorship: Train, mentor, and develop team members on best practices, safety standards, and new piping and welding technologies.
- Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve project challenges, such as delays, budget constraints, and technical issues.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in pipefitting, welding, or similar trade, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial piping systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, ASME B31.3, API 570, welding certifications) are highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
