Job Summary: This position primarily focuses on providing match support for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in local schools. Responsibilities include ensuring child safety, fostering positive youth impacts, and maintaining meaningful relationships between youth (Littles) and volunteers (Bigs). Additionally, the role involves designing effective strategies to recruit and enroll volunteers and youth for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jackson County (BBBSJC).
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, family studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Experience working with child and adult populations, customer service, and community outreach preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and state-required automobile insurance.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Social media management experience is a plus.
Match Support Responsibilities:
- Continuously assess match relationships, emphasizing child safety and development.
- Address individual training needs and provide support for both youth and volunteers.
- Apply expertise in child safety and risk management throughout job functions.
- Develop strategic interventions to strengthen match relationships.
- Implement individual and group match activities to engage volunteers.
- Conduct exit interviews to assess match closure reasons and re-match potential.
- Substance Use Prevention based on Grant funding
