American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a day shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Respiratory Care department at an academic medical center with a dedicated children's hospital
-
Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Serves all appropriate age levels across areas covered by the respiratory therapy department
-
Pediatric hospital experience preferred
-
26-week contract length
-
Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
-
Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred

RRT credential required
-
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision

BLS (AHA) required
-
ACLS (AHA) required
-
License required if applicable

Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record

Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring

Serve as a resource person to medical staff

Participate as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Previous travelers who have completed a 26-week engagement must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract

This facility maintains strict compliance deadlines; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
