American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Oncology RN for a night shift position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma, teaching hospital in Oregon, requiring BMT/Cellular Therapy experience and an active OR RN license.

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT unit providing intermediate level of care to patients ages 0-18, with select oncology diagnoses followed through age 25

Patient diagnoses include leukemia, brain tumors, bone tumors, sarcoma, lymphomas, blood diseases, immunological diseases, storage diseases, bone marrow transplants, and Graft vs Host Disease

Nurses on this unit also provide support to Hem/Onc/BMT patients on other units, including chemotherapy support, BMT expertise, and central line management

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Weekend availability required

Floating within the hospital is required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation

Charting via Epic (experience required)
-
13-week contract with potential for extension beyond 13 weeks

Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending license accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board

Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card (through APHON or ONS)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Pediatric and BMT/Cellular Therapy experience required

Epic EMR experience required

COVID vaccination required; no exemptions accepted

Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)

Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital

First-time travelers are welcome to apply with 3 or more years of experience

Local candidates are accepted

RTO (requested time off) is limited to a maximum of 1 week
-
Former employees or previous travelers at this health system must have been gone at least 6 months before returning as a traveler

Candidates who previously worked at this facility must provide a reference completed by the OHSU manager who supervised them
