Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, and various trucks (dump truck, water truck)
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on construction sites.
- Assist in the movement of materials and equipment as needed throughout the site.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in commercial driving for transporting materials or equipment when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction site environments.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and performing basic repairs on machinery.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
