American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position in Nashville, TN, requiring AHA BLS and ACLS certifications and at least 1 year of experience.

Work in a 23-bed Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit
-
Patient population includes adults ages 18–60+ with heart diagnoses, including sheath management and external pacemaker experience
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4–5:1 based on patient acuity
-
Staffing team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; RNs assume full responsibility for their patient team
-
Night shift: 18:45–07:15

13-week contract
-
Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact RN license

Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required

NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Successful completion of a proctored cardiac rhythm test required

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address

2 professional references required for consideration

Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

Provide nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including those requiring sheath management and external pacemaker monitoring
