The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in assigned courses, supporting student learning outcomes, maintaining accurate academic records, and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment. The Adjunct Instructor teaches courses at various times and locations based on student demand, in accordance with the approved curriculum, institutional policies, accreditation standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
SALARY: Allied health faculty members are paid for hourly contact with students at various rates depending on the teaching discipline, academic credentials, and professional certifications.Certificate/Diploma - $21.00, Associate Degree - $23.00, Bachelor Degree - $25.00, Master's Degree or higher - $29.00 not to exceed 19 hours a week.
Part-time positions are posted based on the possible availability of a future assignment, which is sporadic and may not occur. Available positions are contingent upon enrollment and instructional needs of the College.
Wallace Community College accepts applications for Adjunct Instructors on a continuous basis, to fill morning, afternoon, evening or weekend needs at all College locations to include dual enrollment at area high schools. However, it does not necessarily imply there are immediate openings.

Letter(s) must include employment dates and job title and be on official letterhead with an authorized personnel signature. *ONLY when an applicant has a legitimate reason for not obtaining written verification by their own efforts, such as if the business is no longer in operation, an applicant may submit copies of appointment letters or contracts, and if that is not available, you may submit pay stubs or W-2 forms to confirm the minimum of three years medical or clinical office practice as a medical assistant or nurse.
- Appropriate transcript(s) identifying the applicant, institution, date degree conferred and verifying the applicant has received the minimum of either an Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Transcripts may be unofficial for the application process but they must identify the applicant, institution, degree earned and the date the degree was conferred. (A copy of the diploma will not suffice).NOTE: If employed, official transcripts will be required at that time.
