American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel contract in New Mexico, requiring at least 1 year of recent experience and Epic charting familiarity.

32-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
-
36 or 48-hour weekly schedule options available
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
-
Rapid response team activation is part of unit operations
-
Epic EMR used for charting (experience preferred)
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating to like units required
-
6 weekend shifts within every 6-week period
-
Active NM or Compact RN license currently in hand

BLS certification required
-
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred

Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required

Epic charting experience preferred

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted — candidates must apply individually

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
-
Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler

RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and will not be approved during the first week of orientation

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
