Hope Esperanza Services, LLC is seeking Clinician, Counselors, and Parent Educators to join our team of dedicated professionals. This position requires hard work, compassion and the ability to easily connect with and help others in need. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is mature, patient and capable of emotionally connecting with clients. This position will involve working directly with clients at our office and in the community and requires regular interaction with members of various gender, race, age and cultural backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Individual/Group Therapy/ Counseling for various Cohorts in the community, in the office, virtual, or hybrid.
- Survey social service needs of patient and family.
- Educate and inform individuals about mental health problems.
- Work effectively in a team setting with other professionals.
- Provide Therapeutic or Supervised Visitation- (i.e., maintain an Observation Checklist)
- Provide Parent Education utilizes various approaches (i.e., Nature Heart Approach)
- Certified in providing DV Services and knowledgeable of servicing agencies (i.e., Shelters, Safe Havens, or Temporary Housing)
- The ability to provide community resources to servicing clients (i.e., Vocational Services, IOP. Specialists, etc.)
- Formulate pre/post diagnosis and conduct scales
- Implement Treatment Plans (Short/Long Term Goals), Safety, Educational, and Discharge Plans
- Formulate pre/post diagnosis, Biopsychosocial assessments, and conduct scales
- Provide services to approximately 14 Clients while maintaining HIPAA, safe and non-judgmental environment
- Understand the Policies and Procedures of I.D.E.A., Provide Mandated IEP Clinical Minutes, if consulting for school districts
- Understand PHI and understand the importance of confidentiality
- Meet HES Documentation Deadlines/Submittals
- Understand the penalties of Medicaid Fraud- (i.e., billing and encounter forms)
- Understand Theranest/PerformCare-Cyber
- Computer literate, Word, PWP, Google Sheets, Google DocsDirect the patient to treatment and care facilities.
- Care for patients with mental illnesses during hospitalization or in-home visits.
- Survey social service needs of patient and family.
- Educate and inform individuals about mental health problems.
- Work effectively in a team setting with other professionals.
Required license/certification and education:
● MSW, LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LSW, LMFT, LCADC
● Master Of Social Work/ Professional Counseling/Psychology
● Experience working with children and families (Minimum of 2 years)
● Experience with working with the immigration population (Minimum of 2 years)
The Clinical Experience:
Clinical supervision supports trainee mental health professionals by offering oversight and support from a more experienced provider. Clinician/Counselor will gain access to a “Judgment Free” support system in which the Clinician/Counselor can gain clinical insight, listen to fellow team member or privately, gain resources, and increase comprehension of HIPAA Forms, Policies/Procedures, Note-taking, Treatment/Discharge Planning, Assessments, how to cope and provide Crisis Intervention, Theories, Approaches, Modalities, Meet the individual where they are at and etc.
Overall, the clinician/counselor will gain the tools to apply therapuetic techniques/approaches, (i.e., Talk Therapy, CBT, TFCBT, Motivational Interviewing, etc.); ethics, intakes, diagnostic/assessments, documentation, empathy, how to transition clients, and understand the diversity in therapy.
