Job Description: Membership and Communications Coordinator (Part-Time)

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Membership and Communications Coordinator on a part-time basis.
Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to manage our membership activities and enhance our communication efforts. The Membership and Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships with our members and ensuring that our communication channels effectively promote our organization's activities and events.
Responsibilities:
- Membership Management:
- Process new member applications.
- Maintain an updated membership database and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Respond promptly to member inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for increasing membership and member engagement.
- Assist in organizing membership events and networking opportunities.
- Communication:
- Create and send out weekly emails to members, including event invitations, updates, and relevant news.
- Develop content for our social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the team to develop communication campaigns that align with the chamber's goals.
- Collaborate with various committees to gather information and insights for communication materials.
- Content Creation:
- Write compelling and concise content for newsletters, social media posts, and website updates.
- Create visually appealing graphics, images, and videos to accompany communications.
- Ensure all content is consistent with the chamber’s messaging.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Track engagement metrics for emails and social media posts and provide regular reports.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using email marketing platforms and social media management tools a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Illustrator.
- Prior experience in membership management, communications, or related roles is preferred.
Schedule and Compensation:
- This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 20-25 hours per week.
- Flexible scheduling with the possibility of some remote work.
- Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
