Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Golf Course General Manager to lead the overall operations of our premier golf facility. This role is vital in ensuring an exceptional guest experience, maintaining the course's pristine condition, and managing day-to-day business functions with enthusiasm and professionalism. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, management expertise, and a passion for hospitality, creating a welcoming environment for members and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of golf course operations, including course maintenance, clubhouse management, and guest services to ensure a top-tier experience.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff, including pro shop & course operations personnel, cafe + patio bar personnel, and event coordinators, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage daily shift operations, including scheduling, shift management, and supervising staff to deliver seamless service throughout the day.
- Coordinate special events such as leagues, tournaments, corporate outings, and private functions to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
- Handle financial responsibilities such as cash handling, budgeting, reporting, and inventory control to support sustainable business growth.
- Maintain the course’s appearance and safety standards through effective supervision of maintenance teams and adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop reports on operational performance, guest feedback, and staff productivity to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in hospitality settings such as resorts or restaurants with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Experience in events management, shift management, and customer service within a hospitality or resort context.
- Knowledge of golf course operations or related outdoor recreational facilities is preferred.
- Excellent report writing skills coupled with the ability to analyze operational data for continuous improvement.
- Background in managing cash handling procedures and delivering outstanding guest services.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in nightlife venues such as nightclubs is advantageous but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
