Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development for infants.
- Provide attentive, nurturing care including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Observe and document each child's developmental milestones, behaviors, and individual needs to inform ongoing care strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to plan daily schedules that balance structured activities with free play.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and managing transitions smoothly.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a caring and patient demeanor.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for infants and toddlers.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage effectively with parents.
- Ability to work flexible hours during program days while maintaining high energy levels throughout your shift.
