Position Summary
The CNC Lathe Operator will run CNC turning centers to produce precision components. This role focuses on stable production, in-process inspection, and maintaining part quality, with minor setup adjustments as needed. The position also requires parts to be cycled through a preset cleaning station where parts are required to be cleaned, dried and stored.
You will work closely with engineering and machinists so communication and awareness are important.
Responsibilities
- Operate and setup CNC lathes
- Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Make offset adjustments to maintain tolerances
- Monitor tool wear and flag tooling issues
- Deburr parts and maintain part quality standards
- Keep machines running efficiently during production runs
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Record production and inspection data
Required Qualifications
- Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered
- Must have experience with CNC machining industry. Preferred 1+ years of experience
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings
- Experience using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
- Understanding of offsets and basic tool wear compensation
- Ability to hold tolerances and follow process instructions
Schedule
Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
(Overtime may be available)
