The Tradesman 1 role focuses on performing hands-on construction tasks related to specialized trades such as Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) installation and Structural Concrete Repair. This is a project-specific position located in National City, with an anticipated project duration of approximately 6–8 months. The role is an integral part of the field construction team, responsible for executing repair and reinforcement procedures with precision, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
Perform layout, surface preparation, concrete grinding, and cutting as required for FRP and concrete repair work.
Measure, cut, and install various types of structural fiber materials.
Mix and apply two-part epoxy resins, adhesives, and bonding agents following manufacturer specifications.
Assist with formwork, patching, and concrete restoration tasks.
Operate grinders, saws, drills, and other power tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety procedures.
Collaborate with foremen and supervisors to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
Support higher-level tradesmen and participate in ongoing training to advance technical skills in FRP and structural repair.
Work is performed on an active construction site in National City for the duration of the project.
Work may be indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
May involve heights, confined spaces, elevated platforms, and scaffolding.
Regular exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, and construction materials.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, gloves, respirator, eye protection, and safety boots.
Work schedule may include early mornings, extended shifts, or weekends depending on project requirements.
