We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused professional who combines strong technical aptitude with business development skills. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, preparing project proposals, managing projects from start to finish, and performing the field installation, calibration, commissioning, and service of flow measurement and remote monitoring systems.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys working independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where every customer interaction is an opportunity to grow our business. This is a travel-intensive position serving customers primarily in the Oil & Gas, Salt Water Disposal, Water/Wastewater, and Municipal industries.
Essential Responsibilities Business Development & Sales
- Develop new business opportunities within assigned territory through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship building.
- Identify customer needs and recommend technical solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Generate new project opportunities with both existing and prospective customers.
- Prepare quotations, project proposals, and scope of work documents.
- Develop long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and regular follow-up.
- Meet or exceed established sales and business development goals.
- Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows when appropriate.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on opportunities, forecasts, and customer activity.
Project Management
- Manage projects from initial customer contact through installation, commissioning, and final customer acceptance.
- Coordinate scheduling, equipment, materials, and customer communication throughout each project.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
- Identify and resolve project challenges proactively.
- Communicate project status internally and externally while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Draft project proposals, change orders, and project documentation as required.
Technical Field Service
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and service flow meters and remote monitoring systems.
- Perform field hardware installations for new and existing customers.
- Diagnose and resolve communication, instrumentation, networking, and control system issues.
- Commission new systems and verify proper operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls to minimize customer downtime.
- Maintain a strong understanding of flow measurement technologies, telemetry systems, and related equipment.
- Develop a working knowledge of PLC and HMI systems with a willingness to expand technical expertise.
- Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Customer Service & Operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while building long-term partnerships.
- Provide timely communication regarding project progress, technical issues, and recommendations.
- Maintain sufficient truck inventory and manage company-issued tools and equipment.
- Submit accurate service reports, project documentation, timesheets, expense reports, and sales activity reports.
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment in excellent condition.
- Participate in required safety meetings and ongoing technical training.
- Contribute ideas that improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and company growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with flow measurement, instrumentation, SCADA, telemetry, industrial automation, or controls.
- Demonstrated success in technical sales, business development, account management, or customer relationship management.
- Experience managing projects from proposal through completion.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and industrial communications.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with PLC/HMI systems is preferred.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
