Litigation Counsel (Employment, Corporate & Premises Liability)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced California-licensed attorney with a strong background in employment law, corporate matters, and civil litigation, including premises liability.
This is a senior in-house role for an attorney who can independently manage legal matters, advise management, and handle litigation across multiple locations.
Compensation & Schedule
- $200,000 annual salary
- Full-time, in-house
- Schedule based on litigation deadlines, court proceedings, and business needs
Key Responsibilities
- Advise management on California employment law, including wage-and-hour, PAGA, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves, accommodations, discipline, and termination
- Handle employment claims, investigations, demand letters, agency matters, and litigation
- Review employment policies, agreements, releases, contracts, leases, and vendor agreements
- Advise on corporate, compliance, contractual, and operational legal matters
- Manage premises liability and other civil litigation from claim through resolution
- Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, settlement strategy, and trial preparation
- Manage outside counsel and significant legal matters as needed
- Advise management on legal exposure, risk, and practical solutions
Qualifications
- Active California Bar
- 8+ years of attorney experience
- Strong California employment law and employment litigation experience
- Substantial civil litigation experience, including discovery and depositions
- Strong corporate/contracts background
- Meaningful premises liability, general liability, or similar civil defense experience
- Strong legal writing, organization, negotiation, and judgment
- Able to independently manage multiple legal matters and deadlines

Pay: $200,000.00 per year
