Athletic Trainer — Cornerstone Health, Downtown Evanston
Location: Evanston, IL (Downtown — steps from the lake and public transit)
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $65,000 annually + bonus eligibility
Start Date: Immediate
About Us
Most athletic training jobs mean nights, weekends, bus rides, and sideline care. This one doesn't. You'll work Monday through Friday in a clinic, as a physician extender on a sports medicine and rehabilitation team.
You will also get paid to keep learning. We cover your CEUs, and we will put you through GRIP Approach Certification on the clinic's dime — a movement-based clinical framework our founder developed and teaches nationally
What you'll actually do
- Soft tissue and manual therapy (instrument-assisted and hands-on)
- Shockwave therapy — you'll be trained on our equipment and become a primary provider for it
- Corrective exercise and progressive loading using our GRS (Global Reset Strategy) system
- Functional movement screening and return-to-activity progressions
- Patient intakes and assessments
- Documentation and progress reporting
All athletic training services are provided under physician direction or written referral consistent with the Illinois Athletic Trainers Practice Act.

- Motivate and galvanize both patients and team members around our shared vision and standards of care.
- Build and maintain community relationships with referral sources, local teams, and schools.
- Educate patients on their treatment options — including non-insurance-based programs — with clarity and confidence.
