Field Operations Coordinator / Assistant Superintendent

Wilson & Co. Design Build is hiring a Field Operations Coordinator / Assistant Superintendent to help manage day-to-day field operations on residential and light commercial construction projects.
We are a growing design-build company working on remodels, additions, exterior restoration, custom residential projects, and select commercial projects throughout Northeast Florida.
This role is for someone who can be our eyes and ears in the field, keep jobs moving, communicate with subcontractors, maintain clean documentation, and help ensure work is completed correctly.
What You Will Do
- Visit active job sites and verify daily progress.
- Check on subcontractors, schedule status, and jobsite conditions.
- Take jobsite photos, notes, and measurements.
- Confirm materials are onsite before work begins.
- Help coordinate schedules with the office and field team.
- Walk punch lists and document incomplete work.
- Help verify completed work before subcontractor payments are approved. Communicate issues quickly to ownership and admin.
- Keep jobsite documentation organized and current.
- Help maintain clean, professional jobsites.
- Meet vendors, subs, inspectors, or clients when needed.
- Help keep projects moving from start to finish.
- What We Are Looking For
- Construction knowledge required.
- Remodeling, framing, exterior restoration, trim, stucco, or superintendent experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Organized, reliable, and able to think on your feet.
- Comfortable walking job sites and talking with subs.
- Able to take photos, notes, and measurements.
- Reliable personal vehicle required.
- Willing to travel between Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and surrounding project locations.
- Professional around clients and homeowners.
- This Role is not a sit-behind-a-desk position.
- This is a field support role for someone who understands construction, can identify problems early, and can help the company stay organized while projects are moving.
- You do not need to know everything, but you do need to be dependable, observant, organized, and willing to learn.
Compensation Structure
Hourly pay or salary depending on experience. Vehicle/gas allowance may be considered after the probation period. Performance bonus may be considered based on reliability, jobsite organization, clean documentation, and project execution.
