Bruce Component Systems is a family-owned and operated roof truss manufacturing plant located in Lecanto, Florida, since 1985. We are known for our ability to design & build complex custom roof and floor truss systems combined with high-quality service.
As a growing company, we are seeking an experienced outside sales representative to market and service new and existing customers in Citrus and the surrounding counties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, scheduling, and knowledge of the construction industry.
Description
The Outside Sales Representative serves as the face of the company, responsible for driving sales and delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves gathering detailed information on customer needs and design specifications to generate tailored sales proposals. The representative acts as a key liaison between clients and internal departments, including design and production, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Work Location & Environment:
- In person
- Full time: Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm
- Collaborative work environment
- Report directly to Plant Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads; follow up on all building permits in sales territory
- Travels regularly throughout the territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone.
- Discuss product details with customers
- Coordinate with the Truss production manager and customer as to the timing deliveries are needed
- Work with Truss Production Manager and Office Administration to keep account activities up to date, let them know how each customer should be handled, who they will be dealing with, and what details need to be on each invoice
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Essential Requirements:
- Must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily
- Basic knowledge of home building
- Detail-oriented
- Highly motivated, self-starter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use a smartphone and have general computer skills
- Must have prior selling experience (2+ years preferred)

Pay: $900.00 - $1,500.00 per week
