About Us
CBN Networks is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement & Inventory Manager to support the sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and distribution of materials required for broadband and telecommunications infrastructure deployments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that materials required for network construction projects are properly sourced, ordered, verified, and delivered on time to support field construction and installation schedules.
The Procurement & Inventory Manager will work closely with engineering, project management, construction teams, vendors, and internal departments to manage the procurement lifecycle from initial material identification through delivery and staging. The role requires the ability to review engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs), confirm quantities and specifications, source materials through appropriate vendors, place purchase orders, and track shipments to ensure materials arrive at the correct locations in alignment with deployment timelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for telecommunications and broadband projects.
- Review project plans and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate material requirements and specifications.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Detail-oriented who is highly comfortable navigating complex Excel spreadsheets and Google Sheets
- Create, process, and track purchase orders from request through delivery.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, compatibility, and pricing before placing orders.
- Coordinate material deliveries to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses, staging areas, and project sites.
- Track materials from purchase through receipt, storage, distribution, and deployment.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs to prevent shortages and delays.
- Resolve vendor, shipping, and material issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain organized procurement, inventory, and vendor documentation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Supervisors, Engineering, and Finance teams.
- Support budgeting, reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Continuously improve procurement processes, inventory accuracy, and vendor performance.
Qualifications
Office Position – Islandia, Long Island (Procurement / Inventory / Supply Chain)
Candidates should have at least two years of experience in procurement, inventory management, supply chain coordination, or purchasing roles. Experience supporting construction projects, telecommunications infrastructure, or broadband network deployments is preferred.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong vendor management and negotiation skills, along with the ability to coordinate procurement activities across multiple vendors and project locations. Attention to detail is critical, particularly when verifying part numbers, material specifications, quantities, and pricing before purchase orders are finalized.
Applicants should be comfortable working with inventory tracking tools, procurement systems, and spreadsheets, including proficiency with excel spreadsheets and Google Sheets. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, orders, and timelines simultaneously are essential.
A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, operations, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent professional experience in procurement or materials management will also be considered.
