SERVICE TECHNICIAN
JWS Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Ltd., a leader in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning, and serving Guam and Micronesia since 1972 is seeking a Service Technician. We are an innovative company with continual growth.
ROLE SUMMARY
This position provides installation, preventive maintenance, warranty work, repair services, and parts for HVAC equipment and refrigeration. The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate effective problem solving skills.
- Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies, and
meet commitments.
- Maintain high safety standards with proven performance with a clean safety record to
work in commercial environment.
- Communicate with branch office to order parts for repairs.
- Communicate with customer and branch office regarding status of repairs.
- Complete service tickets according to procedures.
- Monitor truck stock to insure required parts are stocked on vehicle.
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms representative of JWS quality.
- Meet reasonable on-call requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Build strong customer relationships and build knowledge and understanding of new
and existing customer needs/expectations.
- Promote appropriate services, products and maintenance programs.
- Attend appropriate technical and manufacturer training.
- Obtain additional licenses and certifications as appropriate.
- Train team members and peers on best practice methods of service and sales.
QUALIFICATIONS
. High School diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of four (4) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC industry
- Experience servicing both water and air cooled chillers; helical screws and centrifugal
equipment
- Technical guidance and direction to other mechanics
- Knowledge of chilled water applications
- Installation, diagnostic, service, troubleshoot & repair
- Journeyman Certificate or technical schooling with certificate from DOL
- Universal Refrigeration Licenses
- Able to operate related measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments.
- Computer literate.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Manufacturers training with chillers, ice machines, and kitchen equipment a plus
REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of airflow in ducted systems
- Self-motivated with proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work with minimal direct
supervision.

- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must own tools of the trade.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
