Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of quality inspection processes, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and GD&T principles. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all machined components meet customer specifications and quality standards before shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional inspections of machined parts using a variety of precision measuring tools (CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
- Interpret and verify parts to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accuracy and conformance.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in accordance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
- Work closely with machinists and engineers to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and equipment.
- Support first-article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment (machine shop experience preferred).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with CMM operation and software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to producing high-quality work.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
