Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and detail-oriented Wine Bar Bartender to deliver exceptional guest experiences through expertly curated wine service. The ideal candidate has a passion for wine, strong customer service skills, and the ability to create a warm, engaging atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service to guests
- Serve wine, beer, and limited cocktails according to house standards
- Educate guests on wine selections, pairings, and tasting notes
- Assist guests with wine flights and recommendations based on preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas
- Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system
- Monitor guest consumption and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines
- Restock bar inventory, rotate wines, and assist with inventory counts
- Support wine tastings, special events, and private bookings
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow
- Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending or wine service experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of wine varietals, regions, and basic wine terminology
- WSET, CMS, or similar certification is a plus (or willingness to learn)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must meet legal age requirements for serving alcohol
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to [30–50] lbs
- Manual dexterity for wine service and bar tools
Schedule & Availability:
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays required
