About the Role
The Youth Development Professional (YDP) for our Teen Center is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising youth programming in alignment with BGCAC’s five core program areas: The Arts, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership Development, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. This role focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for youth of varying ages.
Responsibilities-
Plan and implement activities aligned with the Club’s core program areas.
- Provide a positive learning environment with effective classroom management.
- Supervise daily after-school programming and special events.
- Prepare weekly lesson plans and engage members in high-yield activities.
- Collaborate with program staff and support organization-wide initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements.
- Support community engagement projects in partnership with the Unit Coordinator/ Unit Director
- Address and manage behavior according to BGCAC guidelines and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Hours of Work- Monday - Friday 12:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. or similar (schedules are still being finalized to align with program offerings)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60 - $18.22 per hour
