HIRING FOR SECOND SHIFT - 12:30 - 9:00 PM
The primary responsibility of the air floor operator is to windrow and screen material to create Grade A Compost. This includes operating a front loader to move material from the primary trommel, create windrows, and final screen compost. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
PRIMARY DUTIES
· Inspect front loader prior to starting each day. Repair and record all maintenance performed
· Move material under primary trommel into windrows to ensure compliance with TDEC and permit regulations
· Load material from windrows to hopper to be screened for final product
· Move material from final screen to final product pile
· Monitor final screened compost carefully to ensure quality of final product. Report material changes and large particles in final compost
· Pull samples from under primary trommel and from final screen
· Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and maintenance as required on all operating equipment to include, but not limited to: conveyors, primary trommel, hopper, flip deck screen, and the front loader
· Inspect the flip deck screen daily and record all repairs
· Clean air floor nightly – to remove waste from around primary trommel, hopper and final screen
· Clean final screen as needed
· Complete paperwork on final screen and air floor prior to end of shift daily
· Adhere to plant policies and guidelines
· Work safely
· Other duties as assigned by Manager to ensure success of compost and recycling operations
· Must be 18 years of age
Education, Skills & Abilities Required
Highly motivated, independent worker able to work with little supervision
· Mechanically inclined and basics of operating machinery

· Able to climb into and exit front loader
· Able to maintain stamina in heat, humidity, cold

· Able to have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties
· Able to maintain dependable work schedule
· Able to remain calm in highly stressful, hectic environment
· Able to be flexible and handle changes in priorities
· Able to prioritize tasks and complete assignments on time
· Able to report to work on time without being under the influence or smelling of alcohol or drugs
· Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
· Able to have good motor skills
· Able to make sound decisions
