The Human Resources Assistant reports to the agency’s administration and is directly responsible for the day-to-day human resources duties at the facility. This position would be a temporary role beginning in September 2026 and ending in February 2027.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Associates in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with experience will be considered
- 1-3 years experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize conflicting demands and work autonomously
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficient with Google Suite
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related regulations and laws and HR best practices

- New Hire Onboarding & Orientation
- Time Off Record Keeping
- Employee Monthly Compliance
- Maintains accurate and complete employee personnel files
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for job openings and guide hiring teams through the recruitment and hiring process
- Manage employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner, including reasonable accommodations, employee disciplinary meetings, employment terminations, and internal investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
