FRIDAY-SUNDAY ON CALL WEEKEND DRIVER
Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a tow truck to transport vehicles that have broken down, been in an accident, or impounded. The tow truck driver will also be responsible for communicating with clients, coordinating with law enforcement agencies, and ensuring the proper handling of all vehicles in their care.
Key Responsibilities: Operate tow truck equipment safely and efficiently to transport vehicles
- Communicate effectively with clients, including law enforcement agencies and vehicle owners Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure the proper handling of all vehicles, including loading, securing, and unloading them safely
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and protocols Perform routine maintenance on tow trucks and equipment, including cleaning and inspecting vehicles for damage or defects
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving the tow truck and operating related equipment Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times when interacting with clients and other employees
- May be required to work in varying weather conditions and at all hours, including weekends and holidays
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and clean driving record Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a tow truck or similar heavy equipment Knowledge of state and federal laws related to towing and impounding vehicles Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods of time Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation
Working Conditions: Will be required to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions May be required to work in high-pressure situations, including accidents and emergency response scenarios Will be required to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
