As a Food Delivery Driver, you'll be responsible for safely transporting perishable food to customers’ location, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries every time. Duties
- Safely operate a new 2026 Ram Promaster 3500 cargo van while adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Load and unload boxes of food orders using manual handling techniques, carts or pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring proper weight handling in the workplace.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently using route driving skills to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safe driving habits.
- Deliver orders directly to customers’ locations with professionalism and excellent customer service skills, addressing any questions or concerns courteously.
- Verify order accuracy before departure and upon delivery, ensuring all items are correct and intact.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of delivery vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
- Complete detailed mileage delivery logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately for operational transparency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, with a strong understanding of route driving and moving heavy loads safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; 2-4 years experience as a delivery driver preferred.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling practices; experience with carts, dolly or pallet jacks is a plus.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace.
- Familiarity with automatic transmission vehicles is advantageous; must be comfortable operating a cargo van.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills to manage load & unload tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
