Job Overview
Korean Garden is looking for a dependable kitchen team member who can work in a fast-paced restaurant and handle multiple positions as needed. We are especially looking for someone who is comfortable working expo/window, cooking on the wok station, and helping with food prep.
You do not have to know every station on day one, but restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred. We are looking for someone who works quickly, stays organized, communicates well, and is willing to learn our menu and the way we prepare our food.
Responsibilities
- Work the expo/window, making sure orders are correct, complete, and ready to go out
- Cook menu items on the wok station following Korean Garden recipes and portions
- Help with daily food prep, including cutting vegetables, preparing meats, sauces, and other ingredients
- Keep up with orders during busy lunch and dinner rushes
- Communicate with cooks, servers, and other kitchen staff to keep orders moving
- Keep your station stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
- Help with other kitchen duties when needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred
- Experience with expo, line cooking, wok cooking, or food prep is a plus
- Able to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen
- Dependable and able to show up on time for scheduled shifts
- Able to follow recipes, portions, and instructions
- Good communication and teamwork
- Willing to learn multiple kitchen positions
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform normal kitchen lifting and prep duties
We are looking for someone who can become a reliable part of the kitchen and is willing to jump in wherever needed.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
