Part-Time Delivery Driver / Warehouse Support

Tectonic Coffee Company, a specialty coffee roaster based in Los Angeles, is known for its commitment to sourcing and roasting top-quality coffees from around the globe. We value strong supply chain relationships and aim to spread joy to our customers. We are now looking to expand our team by adding a dedicated Part-Time Delivery Driver.
Work Schedule:
- Sundays: Afternoon shift, typically starting around 2:00 pm, to pick orders, organize the delivery route, and load/prepare the company van.
- Mondays: Full day on the road completing the local delivery route.
- Tuesdays: Typically a half day, with the potential for a full day as demand requires, including cold brew runs or additional deliveries.
- Part-time role with flexibility required based on route volume, cold brew demand, and business needs.
Compensation:
- $21.25 per hour
- Weekly coffee allotment for personal use
- Unlimited coffee on production days
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick local delivery orders and organize the delivery route on Sundays.
- Prepare, load, and drive the company van for deliveries.
- Safely operate the company vehicle, including a Ram ProMaster 1500 tall van.
- Complete local delivery routes through DTLA, Eagle Rock, Studio City, Santa Monica, Inglewood, West LA, Hollywood, and surrounding areas.
- Read invoices and prepare orders for delivery and/or shipping.
- Manage 5-gallon cold brew coffee kegs and nitro gas tanks, including delivery, exchange, loading, unloading, and related transport tasks.
- Cold brew line cleaning. (Monthly)
- Assist with cold brew runs to Oxnard and Orange County as scheduled, including Tuesday runs when demand requires.
- Lift, move, load, and unload items weighing up to 60–80 lbs.
- Communicate clearly through company email and Google Chat.
- Handle UPS and USPS shipments as needed.
- Keep the van organized and report any vehicle, route, order, or delivery issues promptly.
- Support light warehouse fulfillment tasks connected to delivery preparation.
Requirements:
- At least two years with a valid American driver’s license.
- Must be able to safely drive a Ram ProMaster 1500 tall van.
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
- Effective communication skills and customer interaction abilities.
- Experience in fulfillment, shipping, receiving, delivery, or warehouse work preferred.
- Comfortable lifting and transporting heavy items, including kegs and nitro tanks.
- No coffee experience required.
Additional Expectations:
- Drive to Oxnard and Orange County for cold brew production and transport every 3–4 weeks, as needed.
- Cold brew runs may be scheduled on Tuesdays depending on demand and route needs.
- Maintain a professional, friendly presence with customers and represent Tectonic Coffee Company positively while on route.
Location:
- Warehouse located in Vernon, south of DTLA.
- Routes through DTLA, Eagle Rock, Studio City, Santa Monica, Inglewood, West LA, Hollywood, and surrounding areas.
- Average driving miles per shift: 60–220 miles.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
- Regular lifting of items weighing 5–30 pounds and occasionally up to 60–80 lbs.
- Warehouse environment with moderate noise and varying temperatures.
- Delivery environment includes loading, unloading, driving, customer locations, parking, and route navigation.
